Unique History

In the core of Oliver, BC, the historic Oliver United Church at 511 Church Street has hosted countless weddings, baby dedications, concerts, fundraisers, soup kitchens and many other events that make community.

In spring 2023 Rogers Management Group started to transition the 7,000 sq ft building toward providing much needed rental housing for Oliver while preserving the historic form and character of the structure for which Church Street is named. The building will initially provide 6 new rental apartments while also continuing for a time to serve as a place of worship for the Oliver United Church congregation as they enter their second century as a faith community. In the future we plan to increase to 8 new rental apartments.

Convenient Location

Oliver United Apartments is only 1 block west of Hwy 97/Main Street, 1 block North of the Oliver town hall, 1 block Northeast of the School District #53 offices, just 2 blocks from the Coast Hotel, and very close to many other businesses and amenities in the Wine Capital of Canada.

The Plan

What does it take to convert a 100 year old church into fresh new rental apartments? First, we worked with the congregation who feel great attachment to the building. We celebrate the Oliver United history by allowing the building to continue on and serve another purpose to help the community and echoing the church name with Oliver United Apartments. We worked with the Town of Oliver to rezone and amend the official community plan (OCP) to Town Centre Zone.

MAD Studio Inc. is overseeing the design for this unique project. We are bringing on local trades to complete construction over the next few months.
